Thank You, Lads!

Thank you, lads! Thanks for being part of the team that won everything! A personal highlight for me was being at the Champions League trophy parade in Liverpool back in 2019, cheering for this lot. This absolutely means more. #ynwa

Jalan-Jalan Sungai Kesang

AWAS ADA BUAYA! And indeed we saw one baby croc at this "Sungai Viral" at the border of Johor/Melaka, Sungai Kesang. It's amazing how green and clear the water is, Masya Allah! In fact, it was almost crystal clear during MCO as there were no boats around. It's worth stopping for a few snaps indeed. But please, NO SWIMMING! 🐊

Jalan-Jalan Cambridge

 

A brilliant punting experience in Cambridge! Our trip was delayed, but in return, we got a sunset sojourn. And our chauffeur Chris, a local lad, was absolutely wonderful as he regaled us with plenty of wondrous anecdotes along the way! 

So now we've been to both Oxford and Cambridge. Which is better? I'll save my verdict for now. 

Primrose Hill -- We Made It!

From Camden, we walked up to Primrose Hill earlier this morning. The Highstreet's really pretty with some cool shops. Then we walked further up to the park and to the lookout point for an incredible view of London! Had a mini picnic where I was fed some raspberries. Haha!

Then it was back to Camden Market for lunch! Alhamdulillah, was another nice day.

Jalan-Jalan Melaka

Ah, Melaka. So near, yet so over-crowded with too many traffic lights. Those two factors weigh heavily on my mind that when it comes to making a daytrip out of KL for some makan and a change of scenery, we would rather drive straight down to Muar, Johor instead. (Yes, even though Melaka IS my wife’s kampung)

But one fine weekday some months ago, our “hati” were strangely “terbuka”, and we decided to pay Melaka a visit. It was a holiday in the state (the Governor’s Birthday), and so we thought it’d be the best day to scour for some asam pedas while soaking in some history.

Traffic on the North-South highway was smooth all the way right up to the exit at Simpang Ampat. Then came the traffic light test, and guess what, they were mostly perfectly timed! Green after green after green. A mini miracle, indeed!

Our first destination was a recommendation by a relative. Instead of going to a “viral” breakfast spot, we drove to Limbongan for Faizal Mohd Yusof, Roti Canai Special. There was already a good crowd enjoying their first meal of the day, but getting a table wasn’t a problem.

We had the roti canai with kari kambing and kari ikan siakap (with additional sotong), and they were all good. Alhamdulillah!
