Located right in the heart of KL (Jalan Raja Laut, opposite Plaza Hotel), is a new food destination, Restoran Dulu & Kini @ KLMUC. The restaurant is a joint-venture between KLMUC and Malai Food Industries, and brings to you an authentic Malay dining experience.
The name Restoran Dulu & Kini @KLMUC takes after the ambiance of the restaurant, adorned with vintage photos of the city set amidst the present backdrop of today's Kuala Lumpur. What's unique too is that the restaurant will be manned thrice weekly by students of KLMUC themselves.
A soft launch was held recently and saw a good attendance by bloggers and other guests, including celebs Chef Adu and Halim Othman.
The guests were in for a real feast as they were treated to local Malay delicacies such as Asam Pedas Tulang Rawan, Ubi Kayu with Sambal Ikan Tamban and Pengat Durian. Have a look!
And seriously, folks. The food here just tastes awesome and authentic. My own personal favourites include the pengat durian, kambing panggang, ikan patin masak tempoyak and all the Malay kuih muih.
And the great news is this scrumptious buffet spread is available daily during Ramadhan for only RM48 nett (adults) and RM12 nett (children under 12). Value for money indeed!
