Dr. Brady Barr In Da' House!

Yup, this morning on MHI, we had world famous herpetologist Dr. Brady Barr in the house. In town to promote the latest season of Dangerous Encounters on Nat Geo Wild, Dr. Barr and I had a lively chat about some of his more life-threatening experiences including an encounter with a giant phython at the Snake Palace in Bali.

Dr. Barr is also known for adopting unconventional measures in his efforts to get closer to animals including disguising himself as a hippo just to get a sweat sample off those burly beasts. Check out the video below...

Only bummer was he couldn't bring over some interesting reptiles to the set as promised. Apparently he injured his hand (bitten by a crocodile, of course) just before coming over to Malaysia and couldn't have possibly handled the animals himself.

Anyway, thanks to the folks at Nat Geo for making the interview possible and thanks to Dr. Barr for his time. Do come back, and please bring some slithery creatures with you next time! :)

This Morning On MHI...

Hey, Ho!

So, I guess I haven't had that many interesting things to share with you lot off late. But really, it's also been a tiring few weeks lah, mainly 'cos I've been clocking in 4 MHI shows per week for three consecutive weeks.

So it's been three weeks of waking up at 5, shower and shave while my eyes are still basically shut, reaching Sri Pentas 6am, talk for a couple of hours, and continue with regular work usually until 6.30pm.

But yeah, it's been quite fun lah. Especially those Raya shows when the mood was more relaxed and we basically talked about eating Raya food while eating on the set. ...

I've also clocked in over 1,000kms during the festive period. Driving down to Melaka, then JB, then Melaka, then KL... and back down to Melaka a few days after the first trip.

And how am I able to do all these at a sorta-old age? Milo, of course!

Well, not really. More like, will power. If you believe you can do it, you WILL do it. Haha. That's not even smart.

Anyway, just wanted to jot down something here and wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya again. Oh yeah, I'll be going to France soon. That'll be fun, I hope :)

The brand was first revealed at a Trade Launch event at One World Hotel. And it was a big rush for me when we unveiled the logo and name for the first time ever.

We got our first taste of Jom Heboh in December '07. Over half a million people came, and our booth was virtually swarmed every second it was open. Tiring like hell it was, but thoroughly satisfying for sure.

GUA Turns 3!

Yes, Malaysia's premier entertainment portal gua.com.my turns 3 today! And as the "daddy" of gua (as I'm usually known), I would like to say thanks to everyone for the support these past 36 months!

The past two years, we celebrated the occassion by having "majlis berbuka puasa" with hundreds of guests in attendance, but this year, as you can see, it falls on the 2nd day of Raya, so something similar wasn't possible. But we are cooking up something special pretty soon. So do watch this space!

From the bottom of my heart, I wanna wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir Batin!

For those driving back to your hometowns, be extra careful during this festive season. Too many journeys have ended in tears.

So, Have I Lost Weight?

To be honest, I don't really know. But I do feel lighter. And basically all of my pants are rather loose now. Surely that must be a good thing, right?

But yeah, I've been keeping to a consistent diet throughout the month of Ramadhan, i.e.: ONLY oats for sahur. And basically ANYTHING GOES during buka... Have a look at some of the stuff I've enjoyed... (jangan jealous, ok?)
